Mission Statement
Powerlight Prayer & Healing Ministries (Powerlight) has been organized to provide Care, Healing, and Hope to individuals, church communities, and other ministries around the world.
Powerlight Prayer & Healing Ministries (Powerlight) has been organized to provide Care, Healing, and Hope to individuals, church communities, and other ministries around the world.
Powerlight operates through conference calls, crusades, meetings, and one-one counseling sessions (“events”) conducted by two paid staff and several volunteers. Participants call in to a dial-in number and are encouraged to give prayer requests and receive encouragement. Church leaders, from time to time, request the operating Directors of Powerlight to conduct meetings (“crusades”) that involve prayer and healing for their constituents. Individuals also contact Directors from Powerlight to conduct one-one sessions for specific prayer needs. Powerlight is funded through contributions made directly to the ministry or its representatives.
Powerlight does participate in the directing of food, clothing, toys, and other contributions to those in need from those contributing from outside the ministry. Powerlight started their phone line prayer sessions in March of 2009 with approximately 8 participants and has grown rapidly to having over 60 people per day call in. At a recent conference, over 200 participants from the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, and Africa participated. People are referred to the Powerlight events by other individuals who have benefited from prayer and healing. Powerlight plans to expand its reach through internet marketing and going to churches and other ministry organizations to offer events.
As the scope and mission expands, the organization foresees training more volunteers to participate in the ministry. There are also plans to satellite organizations in various places to support the continued needs of people seeking prayer and support. Specific areas of expansion will include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Africa as there are several participants already from those parts of the world. |
